    30 October 06 - 10:01SOE's Best Expansion Ever, Isn't.

SOE meets my expectations every time.

Cleaning floors and cleaning statues is like the most challenging thing eq has ever thought of.  I'd post the link to where the dev claimed that this would be the best expansion ever but SOE has already removed it.

Nothing new here really, we all already know that EQ sucks.

25 October 06 - 17:38A "funny" thing: The Burning Crusade

It's not about just musculature but about the overall feel of World of Warcraft and the style we want to continue to use. We need to be careful not to stray into the styles normally associated with other games or areas while still advancing the world of Azeroth as it's being created.

    Huh?  Final Fantasy.  Oh.

     /wrong

    No, they look gay.

“As many players have noticed, we have made a slight change to the male Blood Elf character models. In response to concerns that the Blood Elf male appeared to be too feminine, and after reviewing the model from a visual and conceptual standpoint, the decision was made to increase the body mass to give them a more substantial, masculine feel. It was also important that as members of the Horde that the Blood Elves gave the impression of strength and a more menacing presence.”

They are delaying the release of an expansion because the Blood Elf model is "gay"?  For all the problems in The Burning Crusade this is a really huge one to bring up now...

I don't doubt that the Developers at Blizzard Entertainment are Homophobes but to delay the release of a game over their own hatred is silly.

I've yet to see a single post on the Beta forums complaining about the old Blood Elf model, not one.  This change is right out of the blue.

    Quote:

The primary purpose of this survey is twofold:

    1. To determine why people are *not* playtesting or playtesting rarely.

    2. To help us assign priority to many of the issues we know we have, such that we fix/address them in the right order if possible (won't always be possible -- some fixes will take time, while others are quickly tweaked).

    24 October 06 - 12:20Delay that Game Breaking Expansion!

It is now a fact that The Buring Crusades Expansion for World of Warcraft is not going to make the Christmas buying spree/season.

What everyone is missing are the reasons.

    16 October 06 - 11:25Resetting the World... Of Warcraft

The User Interface is being completely revamped. No longer will the UI perform smart actions, no more transactions without a player click, no longer will targeting be done by the UI, no longer will combat involve the UI activating anything or changing the information available.

The PvP system is being completely revamped. Previous honor gains will no longer matter at all. Reputation is being removed almost entirely. A new arena system designed for raiding guilds is being introduced.

Raiding instances in the new World Of Warcraft are designed around 25 person raids rather the previous 40 person raids.

Itemization is being radically changed. All players are going to undergo a doubling of hps and an increase in Armor Class and a new type of armor modification stat is going to directly effect the chance of melee criticals.

Many are cheering on these changes.

    12 October 06 - 15:14Banzors!

You know what?  I really starting to doubt these reports of XX,XXXX bannings.   Because WoW gold has never been cheaper @ $15.00 a 100.

In our continued efforts to combat cheating in World of Warcraft, more than 76,000 accounts were closed and 11 million gold was removed from the game economies in Europe, Korea, and the US in the month of September. The closed accounts were associated with activities that violate World of Warcraft's Terms of Use, such as using third-party programs that allow cheating, and farming gold and items. These types of activities can severely impact the economy of a realm and the overall game enjoyment for all players.

We will continue to aggressively monitor all World of Warcraft realms in order to protect the service and its players from the harmful effects of cheating. Please note that selling World of Warcraft content, such as gold, items, and characters, can result in a permanent ban of the involved accounts from World of Warcraft.

Many account closures come as the direct result of tips reported to our GMs in game or emailed to our Hacks Team
http://www.blizzard.com/support/wow/?id=eHacks000 by legitimate World of Warcraft players. If you suspect that a World of Warcraft player is using an illegal third-party program to farm gold or items, or is otherwise violating our Terms of Use, please report the suspected infraction via one of the means listed above. All reports will be investigated, and those that prove false will not result in corrective action.

As always, thank you for your continued support, and best of luck with your continued adventures in Azeroth!

    12 October 06 - 10:26Nothing much to say.

Blizzard is going wacky with the expansion. NDA lifted. We must save the World... of Warcraft. UI changes create hardship for the disabled. The disabled worry. The Disabled are reassured.

    Vanguard is delayed again.
